Whilst more details can be found in the Pre-School prospectus, here are a few of the everyday procedures.

Snacks and meals

The Pre-School makes snacks and meals a social time at which children and adults eat together. We plan the menus for snacks so that they provide the children with healthy and nutritious food. Snacks will usually consist of fruit and milk, but may also cover a variety of foods from around the world when the opportunity arises. Do please tell us about your child’s dietary needs and we will make sure that these are met. Children are encouraged to show independence during snack time by recognising their names on place mats and pouring their own drinks. Children also have the opportunity to plan and choose the menu for snack time.

Uniform / Clothing

There are Pre-school T-shirts and sweatshirts available to buy. As well as the official uniform, the Pre-School provides protective clothing for the children when they play with messy activities. As the Pre-School encourages children to gain the skills that help them to be independent and look after themselves, including taking themselves to the toilet and taking off and putting on outdoor clothes, we would ask the children to wear clothing which is easy for them to manage these tasks.
